ABOUT NICK
When I was in my 20s I had two 100cc karts that spent more time having the engines rebuilt than being on track.
In 2015 Paul Barker invited me to Brands Hatch to drive a Porsche Boxter on the indie circuit. Ben Demetriu was the race director for AFF after a few laps I came in and my first words to Paul and ben was where do I get one of these
After a great deal of thinking I decided to go karting again and am so glad that I did it is now a part of my life.
In 2015 I did my ARKS test and after passing looked at MSA racing. I was total put off and took three months of and away from karting. I then had the privilege to help Ben out in his team that was running Jonathan Evans in the Porsche cup which he came second in the championship.
I was then told about non MSA racing at Red Lodge went up to watch the next race and found myself racing from September to December in the 2015 championship and after three meetings came off my novice plate.
I contested the 2016 season and with a lot of help from the now small team we were building we finished second in the championship
Wanting a new challenge in 2017 we decided to enter the 2017 IKR championship at Rye House and was one of the only 177s that finished every race. This in hole was due to the guys in the pits who gave 110% every moment and always gave me a kart for the next race in the final meeting we were sitting fourth and should have finished there. In the end we were 7th out of 47 drivers that entered so almost happy with that.
2018 has been a different season for me one to step back and build the team and build on my driving for 2019.
